Emergenza and the Next Few Months

Emergenza - Ewan and his chin Thank you to everyone in West One Four on Saturday night. A big rockin, moshin' crowd, in that dim, smoke-filled and funkily lit venue made for a very enjoyable gig, and from the looks of some of our myspace comments and our growing friends count we managed to bring small victories to a good few people. Unfortunately we didn't get through to the next round, but without selling many tickets and with our drummer only just making it to the venue when we were supposed to be walking on stage we didn't really think we would. Yet with a few more fans converted to the cause, and all of us enjoying playing (with the exception of Dan when he threw up) it's definitely going down as a victory. Well done to Civillian and Messiah on getting through to the next round.

...and now for the next few months part. We're gunna be taking a brief break from the gig scene until Nick has finished his a levels, but during this time we're gunna be working on getting some quality recordings of ourselves, covering the older songs and the juicy new stuff. Which is still being kept under lock and key and only in the minds and ears of the band. This new action plan, which started with the implementation of new graphics and new website colours, should at its completion involve the use of new press photos, badges, flyers, an EP and a brief stint of regular gigs (mini-tour-thing). This will get us out to a new and bigger audience and we hope you'll be along for the tea and biscuits.

'til next time.

Ampfarm is on top of The Alexandra pub down Parish Lane in Penge. It's a short walk from the 358 bus stop (get off when you see a Sainsburys), or Penge station.

Another band starting out, another gig at Ampfarm, it's gotta be done. There's always another quality band playing on the night, and the pub downstairs has a pool table, sells unwatered-down alcohol and often has acoustic nights we usually end up playing a few songs at afterwards. So even if we just get to test how well our music goes down with a more emo teen crowd, and hopefully get a few more fans, it's gunna be a good night.
